Shots have been fired close to a Los Angeles school on Thursday afternoon, causing the school to go into lockdown for safety reasons.

According to authorities, the gun shots were fired in the area of Woodrow Wilson Senior High in Los Angeles' El Sereno and local police have reported that they are on the hunt for two suspects as they remain at large after fleeing the scene.
