NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio -- North Royalton High School has redesigned its tutoring program with a fresh, student-centered model that builds academic success and meaningful peer connections.
Formerly a drop-in service in the Media Center, tutoring now uses a structured peer-matching approach led by National Honor Society members.
The shift was made to create a welcoming, flexible, college-style learning environment.
“We wanted students to see tutoring not as a last resort, but as a helpful, everyday tool for success,” said Tonia Gregoire, program leader and counselor at the high school.
“This program allows students to gain confidence and independence while building relationships with peers they may have never connected with otherwise.”
