A group of Democratic Congress members on Thursday said they will “not be intimidated” after President Donald Trump called them “ seditious traitors ."
Earlier this morning, Trump denounced six Democrats after they urged the nation’s military and intelligence agencies to resist carrying out any “illegal orders” issued by the president. Trump later said their behavior was “ punishable by DEATH ” in a post on his Truth Social platform.
Sens. Elissa Slotkin (Mich.) and Mark Kelly (Ariz.), and Reps. Jason Crow (Colo.), Chrissy Houlahan (Pa.), Chris Deluzio (Pa.) and Maggie Goodlander (N.H.) – all military veterans and former intelligence officials – later issued a joint statement.
“What’s most telling is that the President considers it punishable by death for us to restate the law,”
