Malappuram, Kerala: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday launched searches at the residence of former Nilambur MLA PV Anvar, in connection with an investigation into loans taken from Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC).
According to media reports, the ED is simultaneously conducting raids at around 10 locations associated with Anvar.
The raids are reportedly linked to a case alleging that Anvar committed fraud after availing a loan of ₹12 crore from the Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC).
Earlier, the Vigilance Department had also carried out a search at Anvar’s residence. The case before Vigilance alleged that Anvar had manipulated and influenced officials to commit irregularities. Following this, action was later taken against some of the officials involved.
