LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The community came together on Thursday for a tribute concert at Whitney Hall at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. It was an opportunity to grieve and reflect after this month’s tragic UPS plane crash that left 14 people dead.
Organized by the Mayor’s Office and the Louisville Orchestra, the tribute concert honored the memory of those lost, acknowledged UPS employees who helped the company respond, and recognized the courage of first responders at the scene.
Music Director Teddy Abrams said the program was designed to create space for reflection and remembrance. “Music heals us, but also helps us experience some of the most difficult things simultaneously,” said Abrams.
