MANCHESTER, N.H. —

It can be difficult to predict what the winter has in store, but there are some indications that New Hampshire's winter will be a bit warmer than normal but snowier than it has been in recent years.

A few typical cold snaps are likely as some Arctic air spills in across the area from time to time.

After seven years with below-normal snowfall, there is a good chance that New Hampshire finally gets back closer to normal, which for Concord is about 66 inches.

Storm Watch 9 is forecasting a little more overall precipitation than normal, with a few storms likely. Some of those storms will likely contain that common wintry mix of snow, ice and rain, depending on the exact tracks.
