Los Angeles County was placed under a flood advisory by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 9:02 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Friday Nov. 21, at 3 a.m.
The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said, “Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.”
“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent,” according to the NWS. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do
