On Thursday night, a pair of NHL teams nodded to their PWHL counterparts as the puck is about to drop on their season this weekend.

The Vancouver Canucks showed up for Thursday night's game against the Dallas Stars wearing Vancouver Goldeneyes jerseys. The new expansion team begins play on Friday against the Seattle Torrent.

Also on Thursday, Montreal Canadiens forward Lane Hutson donned the jersey of one of the greatest female players ever, Montreal Victorie captain Marie-Philip Poulin.

The Victorie open up their season on Sunday against the Boston Fleet.

The Victorie surely liked the choice of wardrobe.

The puck officially drops on the 2025-26 PWHL season at 7 p.m. eastern on Friday with the Toronto Sceptres visiting the Minnesota Frost.
