A second fire broke out at Exeter's old magistrates' court/police station last night following a blaze that happened on Monday.

A Devon Alert X post was issued at around 10pm last night (Thursday, November 20) asking people to take care when passing the site on Heavitree Road.

It follows the fire at the same site on Monday night which Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service said was started deliberately.

The Devon Alert said: "There is a fire at the site of the former Police HQ and Courthouse on Heavitree Rd, Exeter. Please take care when travelling through here and ensure windows are secured."

One witness posted to Facebook to alert others of the fire. He said: "If you live in Exeter you might want to avoid the area around the old police station on Heavitree Road tonight.
