MARQUETTE, Mich. (WILX) - Portland St. Pat’s 8-man football is searching for its second state title and first since 1992.

The Shamrocks are taking on North Dickinson in the 8-man football Division 2 state title game at 2 p.m. ET in the Superior Dome on Saturday. Portland St. Patrick left for Marquette on Thursday, and with the Shamrocks’ past experiences in the title game in 2020, 2018 and 2017, the staff wanted to head up a day earlier.

The Shamrocks are 12-0 with three double-digit victories in the playoffs over Mendon, Marion and Deckerville to get to the title game. Portland St. Pat’s has displayed a balanced attack throughout the entire season and is hoping for big performances from players like Brady Leonard.
