It was a sweet surprise for Smriti Mandhana when her fianc, popular singer Palash Muchhal, proposed to her at the DY Patil Stadium — the venue where India won the Women’s World Cup final against South Africa earlier this month. In a video shared by Palash, he is seen leading Smriti to the centre of the pitch and giving her the biggest surprise of all by presenting her with a ring.

“She said yes,” Palash wrote as he shared the heartwarming video.

The clip begins with Palash guiding Smriti, who is blindfolded, to the middle of the ground at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. When she finally removes the blindfold, she finds her longtime boyfriend down on one knee, proposing to her.
