Nagpur : A labourer living at a construction site in Jaywant Nagar under Ajni Police Station limits was allegedly strangled to death by his co-worker, who later attempted to burn the body to destroy evidence, police said on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Dhansingh Daramsingh Uike (30), a native of Chhatarpur Ghugri in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. He and the accused, Ganesh Dhurve (30), a resident of Aurai, Katangi in Mandla district (MP), were both employed at a construction site and shared a room at Plot No. 47, Central Railway Colony, Jaywant Nagar.
