From New York City to Kansas City (and everywhere in between), boot season is in full swing.

Don’t believe us? Just look at the feet of Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence , who both styled classic black boots recently — and in totally different ways. While Swift sported a moto-inspired pair of ankle boots with a custom Ganni minidress while attending a Kansas City Chiefs game (as shown in this Instagram post ), Lawrence opted to accessorize her jeans and leather jacket with a timeless pair of Chelsea boots while walking around N.Y.C this fall.

They’re not the first A-listers to rely on black boots when crafting fall outfits — Jessica Alba and Gwyneth Paltrow have both worn the reliable style in the past. Even so, recent outings from Swift and Lawrence serve as a timely reminder
