FAIRHAVEN — It took under an hour for Fairhaven Special Town Meeting to get through its seven articles on Wednesday, Nov. 19, with the biggest debate coming from the final one which raises boarding and adoption fees at the town's animal shelter.
Article 7 of the warrant , which was approved, raises the boarding fee at the Fairhaven Animal Shelter, 200 Bridge St., from $25 a day to $50 a day; the cat adoption fee from $200 to $300; and dog adoptions from $300 to $600.
