LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Thankfully, as you are heading out the door this morning, fog is not as big of a concern.

Winds are staying a little more elevated along with some extra cloud cover to start the day as showers and a few downpours begin to develop to our east.

A few showers or sprinkles are certainly possible as we head through the morning commute to work and school, but these look to remain far and few between.

We’ll still some some sunshine mixing with cloud cover throughout the afternoon and that will help to warm us back into the lower 80s.

The front itself will take its time in pushing through as we still deal with the warm and humid conditions heading into our Saturday.

Once again, the rain chances won’t be terribly high as we are only looking at spotty coverage at best
