Playoff football in the state of Louisiana arrived last week.

Though several of the top programs in “The Pelican State” drew opening-round byes, there were some other schools that picked up huge wins, moving on to play another week in its respective brackets.

Here’s a look at those top performers from the opening week of the Louisiana playoffs. Also, readers can now vote on who they think should be the Louisiana Player of the Week. Vote as many times as you like until 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, and the winner will be announced next week.
