Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Friday approved a proposal for the constitution of a dedicated recruiting agency to streamline recruitment for the State Police and other uniformed services in the state.

The proposed agency, to be named Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC), will function under the administrative control of the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department of the state government, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja told reporters after the Cabinet meeting. The Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, put its stamp of approval on the proposal of the GA&PG Department to frame Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission Rules-2025.
