CANTON ‒ Perhaps these letters about the East Canton Wizards soared to infinity and beyond in a state of suspended animation.

After all, no one has a good explanation for why the piece of mail, sent from the Canton Repository in 1995, was delivered back to the newspaper this month — marked "return to sender."

It's a largely clueless mystery.

No, true story.

Sports Editor Bob Stewart, who sent them, has since died . Vickie Anthony, a diehard fan of the Wizards girls' basketball team during that 1994-95 season who was supposed to get the letters in the mail, is stumped.
