Athletes from Tallmadge, Woodridge, Walsh Jesuit and Archbishop Hoban high schools won the voting as Akron-area high schools' top boys and girls athletes in cross country and golf for 2025.

With football the only fall sport still competing, we are spending the next several weeks highlighting the standout performers in each fall sport before winter sports are in full swing.

Makayla Martuccio of Tallmadge is the girls cross country winner and Atticus Sloan of Woodridge wins for the boys. Martuccio received 52.87% of the votes cast and Sloan received 77.58% of the votes cast. Watch Ohio High School Sports Live on the NFHS Network all season
