Team India star Rishabh Pant is set to serve as the stand-in skipper for the hosts against World Test Champions South Africa at the Baraspara Stadium in Guwahati, where he made his ODI debut in 2018, following the injury absence of Shubman Gill.

India will look to salvage some pride with a win in the second Test between the sides on home soil after a humbling defeat at the hands of the Proteas at the Eden Gardens in the first game.
