A police chase over multiple traffic violations ended in a deadly crash that killed all three occupants of a fleeing vehicle in Chester County early Friday, Nov. 21, Pennsylvania State Police announced.
Troopers from the Avondale Station attempted to stop the car after seeing several violations in the area of East 3rd Street and Garner Drive in New Garden Township around 1:21 a.m. on Friday, according to the release. The driver refused to stop, sparking a pursuit.
Moments later, the fleeing vehicle lost control and crashed near Gap Newport Pike and Sharp Road. All three people inside the car were killed, state police said. Their identities have not been released as investigators are still working to identify the victims and notify their families.
No troopers were injured.
The Troop J Major Case Team is leading the investigation, which remains active and ongoing, authorities said.
