A Charlton woman is facing manslaughter and motor vehicle homicide charges in connection with a fatal crash last year in which authorities said she killed a mother of six while intoxicated.
Aphrodite Papoutsides, 28, was indicted last week by a Worcester County grand jury on 10 charges connected with the September 2024 crash in Charlton that killed Leah S. Forrester, 51, of Worcester, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors said Papoutsides, while driving a Mercedes, collided with Forrester’s Honda on Southbridge Road, also known as Route 169, near Carpenter Hill Road in Charlton.
Two of Forrester’s six children and her husband were hospitalized with serious injuries after the crash, according to the Telegram & Gazette.
