Ross Desmond addressed attendees at Celtic's ill-fated AGM with a prepared statement on behalf of his father, prominent shareholder Dermot Desmond.
The club's Annual General Meeting was heavily disrupted, with protests from disgruntled supporters leading to chairman Peter Lawwell adjourning the event by 30 minutes, before calling a halt to proceedings shortly after.
In attendance for the AGM in place of his father, Desmond's pre-written speech was interrupted by laughs and jeers.
Desmond said, "Times of challenge call for unity and understanding, as well as honest responses to reasonable questions. Yet there are those out there who seem to lie in wait for any opportunity and any small opening to stir up toxicity around the club.
