TSA proposes $18 fee and biometric check for travelers flying without a REAL ID

The TSA is proposing a new rule that would require travelers without a REAL ID to pay an $18 fee and use a biometric kiosk granting ten-day access to airport checkpoints, after REAL ID became mandatory for U.S. air travel on May 7.
