A ‘much-loved’ dad was stabbed to death as his home was burgled has been pictured.

Anthony Priestly was found dead after he was attacked on Aldrich Avenue, Coventry, on Tuesday.

Alexander Neilson, 28, has been charged with murder and aggravated burglary.

Anthony’s family paid tribute to him, saying: ‘Anton, we loved you so much and we cannot imagine that we’re never going to see you again.

‘Our love for you will never end.’

His daughter added: ‘Thanks for all the lovely memories I have of you. Your loving daughter.’

Tributes have poured in on social media, with friends describing him as ‘the funniest bloke they have ever met’. Hannah Williams wrote: ‘You were one of a kind. Loyal funny and to caring for your own good. I will miss you and heaven has gained a beautiful angel in you.
