Eddie Howe is refusing to take the bait from online critics after Newcastle United's slip to 14th place in the Premier League table.

The Magpies are currently in their lowest position for two years in the top-flight , and while supporters in attendance at Brentford - those who stayed until the end - chanted Howe's name despite the defeat, the aftermath of the 3-1 defeat resulted in scathing online critics on social media and on YouTube.

Howe put his hands up and accepted results aren't up to scratch , but then backed his players to put things right.
