MP Amritpal Singh’s mother stopped from boarding Canada-bound flight

New Delhi, November 21, 2025: Balwinder Kaur, mother of Punjab’s Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, was stopped at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport moments before boarding her flight to Canada.

Kaur, who was travelling via Dubai, said she was headed to meet her daughter and newborn grandson in Canada. Her flight, scheduled to depart at 3:30 pm, was halted after airport authorities intervened and prevented her from leaving the country.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the reason for stopping her from travelling.
