Ruben Amorim has been dealt a double injury blow ahead of Manchester United ’s game at home to Everton on Monday night.

Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire were absent from training on Friday morning, and Amorim has confirmed that neither player will be available for selection against Everton.

Sesko was withdrawn late on during United’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham before the international break , while Maguire was substituted in the 72nd minute with a hamstring issue.

In his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Amorim said that Sesko’s knee injury was not serious, but admitted he expected the Slovenian striker to be back around the same time that players are set to report for the Africa Cup of Nations.
