This week are Oregon’s high school football semifinals.
Ahead of the games, we wanted to take a look at the Class 4A teams taking the field.
No. 4 Scappose (10-1) vs. No. 1 Cascade (11-0)
2 p.m. Saturday, McMinnville High School
Last meeting: Cascade won 59-37 in Week 2.
About Cascade: The Cougars hadn’t had a game closer than 22 points through the first 11 weeks of the season until Junction City pushed them to the limit in the quarterfinals, but they staved off the Tigers 28-20 to reach the semifinals for the second straight year as they seek their first blue trophy since 2015.
Senior RB Bryce Kuenzi continues his comeback from a torn ACL that cost him the final five weeks of his junior season, rushing for a season-high 262 yards and three touchdowns in Cascade’s quarterfinal win
