A Fort McMurray woman has been accused of putting her child’s safety in danger after police allegedly saw her bring her toddler to a drug deal.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) said in a Thursday morning statement the woman was already being watched as part of a drug trafficking investigation. On Oct. 31, police say they saw the woman bring the toddler to a drug transaction.

When ALERT later searched the woman’s home, cocaine near the child’s toys and play area was allegedly found by officers. A total of roughly 25 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,500 was reportedly found in the home.
