Former All-Pro wide receiver Josh Gordon revealed that former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson nearly recruited him to come play for the team last year.

Gordon, who last played in the NFL in 2022 with the Tennessee Titans, nearly had an NFL comeback with the Steelers, but decided against it.

“I ended up staying in Seattle for two years and getting to meet Russell,” Gordon said on the Glory Daze podcastl. “And Russell, he even called me wanting to go. He’s like, ‘Hey man, let me see if I can get you in with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ when I was already done and out of Tennessee.”

Gordon, now 34, is unlikely to play in the NFL again despite the highs of his career. He played just two games in 2022 with the Titans and never put anything down on the stat sheet.
