The Government Railway Police (GRP) has successfully traced and recovered 200 mobile phones worth Rs 30 lakh using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. Special teams across the Railway Police District tracked devices lost or stolen from passengers, often during journeys when phones were misplaced or snatched.

Hyderabad: The Government Railway Police (GRP) special teams have traced a total of 200 mobile phones belonging to rail users and citizens, which were either lost or stolen, using the Central Equipment Identity Register ( CEIR ) portal.

The recovered phones, altogether worth Rs 30 lakh were handed over to their owners on Friday.
