Mikel Arteta is hopeful that Arsenal will be able to welcome back some of their six injured attackers for Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.

The Gunners have been hit hard by injuries to their forward line over the past few months, but some of those who have been out are now closing in on a return.

Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard and Noni Madueke have all been absent with knee injuries, while Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyokeres have been on the sidelines due to muscular issues.

Arteta was coy on who exactly may return against Spurs this weekend, but Standard Sport understands that Arsenal captain Odegaard is one of those pushing to make the squad .

It is understood that both Martinelli and Madueke have also made good progress recently, too.
