A TRANSNATIONAL protest is set to target a Scottish-based firm for working with Israel to extract gas from Palestinian waters.
Dana Petroleum, which is owned by the Korean National Oil Corporation (KNOC) but is headquartered in Aberdeen , was one of several companies granted licences by Israel to explore the gas-rich seabed off Gaza ’s coast just weeks after it began bombing the strip following the October 7 attacks.
We previously reported on how the move has sparked outrage among human rights groups and climate campaigners in Scotland , who say the firm could be profiting from Israel’s illegal occupation and ongoing assault on Gaza.
Palestinian organisations, meanwhile, have also warned that it could constitute a violation of international humanitarian law.
