A woman who fell from a window of a takeaway and was left seriously injured had been trying to flee immigration officers , the Home Office has confirmed.
Emergency crews rushed to High Street in Llandysul in Wales at around 5.30pm on Thursday, November 20, WalesOnline reports.
The woman received critical care at the scene from a Welsh Air Ambulance team before being taken to hospital, where she remains.
Officials say immigration enforcement officers were carrying out an “illegal working visit” at a local takeaway when the woman attempted to escape and fell.
No arrests were made during the operation, and officers are being kept updated on the woman’s condition.
Dyfed-Powys Police said investigations are under way to establish exactly what happened.
