Most speed cameras in Montgomery County aren’t giving out tickets – but a new system is designed to spot reckless, high-speed drivers.
A new vendor was selected to operate Montgomery County speed cameras, with some already hitting roads in the area.

“We think that we can be a lot more efficient. It’s a little bit more of a robust program than what we’ve seen in the past,” Capt. Warren Jensen said.
Jensen said the cameras, manufactured by the German company Vitronic, will be deployed to spot especially dangerous drivers.
