MedEx, a conference series by Nefesh B’Nefesh dedicated to assisting doctors considering immigration to Israel, launched in Australia on Oct. 28 with over 100 Jewish physicians in attendance at its first-ever events held in Sydney and Melbourne, according to a news release.
In a step to address Israel’s shortage and demand for physicians, the International Medical Aliyah Program, or IMAP initiative, aims to streamline the professional integration process for doctors making Aliyah.
The Sydney and Melbourne conferences offered a one-stop-shop experience to assist doctors with credential recognition, grant guidance and licensing, relocation and organized virtual interviews with representatives from Israel’s leading hospitals such as Ichilov, Hadassah, Galilee Medical Center, Rambam, Kaplan
