BENGALURU: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has launched a robot to crack down on illegal water connections, and if the robot detects an illegal connection, a hefty fine will be levied.
Because water leakage cases in Bengaluru have increased, the water board has now deployed a robot to identify illegal connections. The robot will help the board detect illegal water connections across Bengaluru. If anyone is caught with an illegal Cauvery connection, officers will fine them.
Ahead of the robot operation, the water board has announced a big 15‑day offer. If people voluntarily admit their illegal connections within 15 days and inform the board, they can escape the fine. The board has made a open offer to citizens can come to the local water board office and give details
