A Miss Universe contestant who fell off stage Wednesday during a preliminary round of the pageant was doing OK and recovering in the hospital, the organization’s leader said.

Miss Jamaica, Gabrielle Henry , was walking across the stage when she stepped directly off the elevated surface during a portion of the competition in Bangkok.

Social media videos showed several people rushing to Henry’s aid, and other clips showed her leaving on a stretcher.

“I was there (at the hospital) with her family and her, and thankfully, there are no broken bones and she is under good care,” Miss Universe CEO Raul Rocha wrote on Instagram. “She will remain under observation for the rest of the night and we will remain in touch with her family to support
