MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Ski season is approaching, and those in need of new equipment will face higher prices this year.

"You can expect to see an increase in pricing for 10-20% if you're buying skis, boots, bindings," said Nick Sargent, president of Snowsports Industries America.

After months of negotiations, the Trump administration imposed a 15% tariff on European goods, where a lot of ski gear comes from.

"Unfortunately there's, there's really, there's very few ski manufacturers in the states now," said Ross Boisvert, CEO and general manager of McIntyre Ski Area in Manchester.

Many ski products are imported from places like France and Austria, and the cost can quickly add up.
