Five things to do in Greater Manchester this weekend

Altrincham will be switching on their Christmas lights this Saturday (November 22) and it's fair to say they have roped in some pretty big names for the occasion. Not only will Sam Aston, who is best known as Chesney in Coronation Street and for his star turn on Dancing on Ice, be making an appearance but so will Manchester United superstar Matheus Cunha. They'll be turning on the lights, but there will also be performances from local groups and Luzahnn from 90's dance group Livin Joy. Full story here.
