The crowd for the Vancouver Goldeneyes’ first game tonight at the Pacific Coliseum will be the eighth largest in the history of the PWHL.
The Goldeneyes announced Thursday that their debut this evening versus their Seattle Torrent expansion cousins is sold out. Capacity at the Pacific Coliseum is now listed at 15,041. Article content Article content
Only seven PWHL games have drawn more than that total. (See below.) The crowd of 19,038 that the Takeover Tour neutral site game at Rogers Arena between the Montreal Victoire and Toronto Sceptres last season is No. 4 on that list.
The PWHL is entering its third season and is now up to eight teams with the additions of Vancouver and Seattle. The league’s announced attendance average across the league went from 5,689 in its debut year
