A Monroe County veteran is asking the community to help a fellow veteran in need.

Jamie Paxton, Air Force veteran and director of Ottawa Lake's Little Blessings Veteran and Community Outreach , is leading efforts to aid a Temperance veteran family that was displaced after a large house fire Nov. 19.

Bob Vanklingeren, chief of the Bedford Township Fire Department , said on Nov. 21 that the cause of the fire at Secor and School roads has not yet been determined.
