Four persons have been arrested in connection with the November 15 stone quarry collapse in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh that killed seven labourers.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the incident, said the four arrested persons – Anil Kumar (59), Ajay Kumar (44), Chandrashekhar (46), and Gaurav Singh (34)- were responsible for overseeing mining operations at the site.

Except for Anil Kumar, who is a resident of Jharkhand, the others belong to Sonbhadra.
