Keller ISD’s board of trustees approved to move future election dates for voting on new trustee members from May to November during its Nov. 20 meeting.

The change passed 4-2, with trustee Jennifer Erickson abstaining from a vote. Trustees John Birt, Chris Coker, Charles Randklev and Heather Washington voted in support of the change while trustees Randy Campbell and Chelsea Kelly voted against the change.

Keller ISD board members will now seek election during the November election cycle, with the next election occurring in November 2026. This change extends current trustee terms by six months to align with the November cycle.

Those for the change said November elections have a higher voter turnout, while those against it cited the cost and voter disruption.
