The Decatur Police Department (DPD) has announced that members of its Vice/Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau, and Patrol Bureau executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of 1st Avenue SW on Thursday morning, in which a suspected illegal alien and two others were arrested.

While serving the warrant, law enforcement came into contact with and arrested Edwin Lorenzo Ramirez, Rolando Edwin Ramirez Vargus and Ana Ramirez Perez.

Authorities revealed the operation was the result of an almost two-month-long investigation into drug sales in Decatur. During a search of the residence, investigators discovered a large amount of opiate pills, multiple firearms and a large amount of U.S. currency.
