Srinagar, Nov 21: Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) chairman and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Friday expressed deep concern over the attacks on Kashmiri students and traders in several states outside the valley, terming the incidents “highly unfortunate”.
In a statement issued here, Yaseen said that while the Delhi blast was an unfortunate incident and deserves unequivocal condemnation regardless of who is responsible, the harassment of Kashmiri students, traders and shawl sellers in its aftermath is unacceptable.
“I have always condemned violence in any form. Harassing innocent people is not a solution to anything,” he added.
Yaseen said Jammu and Kashmir has always upheld secularism and communal harmony, and described the region as “the head of India”. He noted
