King Charles' beloved Scottish residence has been forced to make changes to its scheduled opening times to the public due to extreme wintry weather. ‌

Balmoral Castle, which was the late Queen Elizabeth's favourite royal home and the place where she chose to die, was forced to close on Thursday and continued to have a delayed schedule on Friday due to snowy conditions. ‌

An announcement on the residence’s official Instagram account read: "Due to the continuing wintry weather conditions, Balmoral will be closed to the public for the remainder of the day. Tomorrow’s opening (Friday, 21st November) will be delayed until 11:00am. ‌
