BOROUGH PARK — MAIMONIDES HEALTH WILL HOST LOCAL CLERGY AND CIVIC LEADERS for its 31st annual Celebration of Light, on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

As part of this longtime tradition, Maimonides supports local parishes by funding their tree-lighting ceremonies that honor lost loved ones. Maimonides’ clinical leaders will join with clergy from more than 40 churches in Brooklyn to build connections benefiting the wider community.

According to Brooklyn lore , this tradition began in 1995 with the building of a crèche on the lawn of Visitation Monastery in Bay Ridge, and the custom has expanded to other parishes around the borough.
