Scots theatre staff have been made redundant, with a college set to take over a popular venue in Dundee. ‌

Gardyne Theatre, a near-400 seat multi-arts auditorium located within Dundee & Angus College in Broughty Ferry, announced on social media on Friday, November 21 that the business will stop trading on New Year's Eve. ‌

All staff will be made redundant at the end of December. ‌

The college will now run the theatre space and it will be used for community shows going forward.

A Facebook statement read: "Unfortunately the business Gardyne Theatre Ltd will cease trading on 31st December. The college will run the theatre space with a key focus on student activities, and will be used for community shows.

"The Gardyne Theatre Ltd staff will be made redund
